Ljubljana

Even though Ljubljana is one of the smallest capital cities in Europe, it has a variety of different things to experience. It was named the European Best Destination of 2022 and the European Green Capital in 2016. The capital invites everybody hungry for culture, art, entertainment, and large green areas you usually cannot find in other capital cities.

Ljubljana’s historical old town is closed off for traffic, making it a magical experience of strolling the narrow streets, squares and crossing the Triple Bridge over the Ljubljanica River. From there, you can walk up the castle hill to the Ljubljana Castle and admire the city panorama, with an excellent view of the Alps in the background. When you want to relax, you can take a break in Tivoli Park or go on a short trip outside the city to the Ljubljana Marshes Natural Reserve.
