Highlights

  • Drive the hairpins of the Vršič Pass
  • Swim or kayak on quiet Lake Bohinj
  • Cheese and shepherds’ huts on Velika planina
  • Big alpine views, no crowds

This is Slovenia at its most dramatic — a small country with three alpine ranges and a national park to match.

At its heart stands Mt Triglav (2,864 m), the highest peak and the symbol on the flag, wrapped in the protected wilds of Triglav National Park.

The scenery does the talking: the emerald Lake Bohinj, the 50 hairpins of the Vršič Pass, the spruce-scented Pokljuka plateau.

Further east, the Logar Valley is a textbook glacial valley and Velika planina a living mountain pasture dotted with herders’ huts.

It’s made for the outdoors — hiking, a cable car, a lakeside swim — but just as lovely at a gentle pace, with cake at a mountain lodge.

Tell us how active you’d like to be, and we’ll build the day to fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Exactly what it sounds like: just you and your group — no strangers sharing the van, no fixed departure time. Your driver-guide shapes the day around what you want to see, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

Send us an inquiry with your dates, group size and the kind of things you'd love to see — or hop on a quick call if you'd rather talk it through.

We'll come back with a tailored plan and a price, tweak it together until it's right, and confirm — nothing is paid until you're happy with it.

As early as you can, especially between May and October, when the best dates go quickly. We can often arrange something at short notice too, so it's always worth asking.

There's no per-person ticket here — you pay for the vehicle and the day, not per head. So the more of you there are, the better the value.

What moves the price is how long you're out, how far we travel, and whether you'd like tickets or activities included.

Tell us roughly what you're picturing and we'll send back an honest estimate — no obligation.

A professional local driver-guide, a comfortable vehicle, and all the driving costs — fuel, tolls, parking. Tickets, meals and extras are easy to add; just say the word.

Only after we've agreed on the itinerary and a final price. We'll point you to a secure way to pay, and answer anything you're unsure about first.

Wherever you are — your hotel, your apartment, the airport, or right at the cruise terminal.

Whatever suits you. A half-day runs around six hours, a full day stretches to ten or more, and if one day isn't enough, we'll happily plan several.
